Delete account

Option 1: Delete in the app (recommended)

1. Open FootSim and sign in.
2. Tap the account icon in the top right.
3. Select "Delete account" at the bottom.
4. Confirm with your current password.
5. Tap "Delete permanently".

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. The password prompt ensures nobody else can delete your account.

Option 2: Without access to your account

If you can no longer sign in, first try "Forgot your password?" in the sign-in area. If that does not work, write to us:

Please write from the email address the account was registered with. We will verify the request and then delete the account. We will reply once the deletion has been carried out.

Why is there no form on this page? Deleting based only on a typed-in email address would happen without proof of identity and would at the same time reveal whether an address is registered at all. We do not want either.

What exactly is deleted

• first and last name
• email address
• password hash
• internal account identifier
• confirmation status and timestamps
• the account's language setting and personalisation status
• your stored favourite club
• all existing sign-in sessions

Deletion happens in a single operation: either everything is deleted or nothing — no partial records are left behind.

What stays on your device

Settings such as language and appearance live in your browser, not on the server. You can remove them via your browser settings or, for an installed app, by uninstalling it.

Backups

To protect against data loss, database backups are created and automatically deleted after 14 days. A deleted account may therefore still be contained in a backup for a short time. These backups are not used for day-to-day operation, only for recovery in an emergency.
